No Man Is An Island!!!

We run all round the year working day in and day out. What makes us do so?.Is it personal gratification, may be to an extent, but beyond that there are two things money and realationship.
People who hunt around solely for money may get bogged down as time passes. This is universal truth, whoever be it laymen or Bill Gates ,one has to retire from monetary life at some point.

Relationships provide meaning to life, stands as a motivating factor. It is like a close knit wire where bonding is the only glue.Maintaining a work life balance is essential. One should be a tight rope walker, cannot slide either way. But one thing is rest assured you loose your independence as you grow. When you marry you share the responsibilities of a women, when you have children you take responsibilities for mentoring them. Every new relation has its share of burden too which you cannot wither off.

India-Exploring It

It is impossible not to be astonished by India. Nowhere on earth does humanity present itself in such a dizzying, beliefs, creative burst of cultures and religions, races and tongues festivals, colours, spirit to fight, love and respect. India has a rich and unique cultural heritage, and has managed to preserve its established traditions throughout history whilst absorbing customs, traditions and ideas from both invaders and immigrants. Many cultural practices, languages, customs and monuments are examples of this co-mingling over centuries.

Perhaps the only thing more difficult than to be indifferent to India would be to describe or understand India completely.

India the biggest democracy in the world. On of the fastest developing nation. The nation which has the second highest man power. Biggest market for itself and all other countries. Unity among diversity.

science and God

Science insists that all phenomena that are observed should not be accepted at face value. Its value and meaning can be discovered through experimentation. Science differs from religion because it believes in neutrality and objectivity. Science brings the unknown to the level of observable reality. Religion cannot bring God to the level of observable phenomenon. Scientific knowledge has more concrete application in the form of technology, which might help in manipulating nature. Religion cannot establish such concrete and immediate results. Scientific knowledge and method are valid universally, whereas principles of religious life differ from society to society.

"To believe in God is to yearn for His existence, and furthermore, it is to act as if He did exist" – Miguel De Unamuno

"Science is the knowledge of consequences and the dependence of one fact upon another" – Thomas Hobbes

Who built The Great Pyramid?

The only survivor out of all the seven ancient wonders is the Great Pyramid. Being located in Ciaro, Egypt, it continues to amaze thousands of scholars and scientists evey day. Thi gigantic structure is believed to have been built over a span of 20 years. The pyramid stands so elegant and so perfect that we wouldn't be able to construct something in this day and age that will compare. The Great Pyramid consisted of well over 100,000 stones with each and every giant stone ranging from 1 to 20 tons in weight. The Egyptians had no construction equipments, machineries or engines. So the question, who built the great pyramids? still lurks amongst the every individual. How did the Egyptians haul every stone weighing tons to complete the gigantic structure? Theories say the Egyptians used a bunch of smothened tree logs to move the stones. The problem with this theory is the lack of trees in that area. Egypt has only Date Trees, that's
about it. That could not helped them move those heavy stones. Early hieroglyphics suggest the Great Pyramid was built even before the Egyptians populatedthat land. Many ancient symbols resemble aliens and ufo's. Possibilities are that aliens built the Pyramids.

Limericks

There once was a maid with such graces,
That her curves cried aloud for embraces.
"you look," said McGee,
"Like a million to me-
Invested in all the right places!"

There once was a young man named Hall
who fell in the spring in the fall.
'T would have been a sad thing
had he died in the spring,
But he didn't- he died in the fall.

There once was an old man who said,"Do
tell me how I'm to add two and two?
Arithmetical lore
claims they add up to four,
But I fear that is almost too few."

To be continued with some more limericks soon.

A Sci-Fi Tale For the Next Generation

Let me tell you, I am not your regular Sci-Fi fan. Not me. But the paranormal does intrigue me, for the simple reason that it defies logic yet conforms to some unexplained laws of, well, physics? Well, it is not in me to judge those ardent star gazing types, who wait for the calling from our faraway alien brothers.

Yet, despite my tendecy to steer clear of the Sci-Fi genre, I was strangely captivated by the review of this movie, Man From Earth. And no, it's not one of those tried and true 'alien captures planet Earth and the good guys save the world' formula story. Nope, not this one. What's so queer about this movie though is that the storyline is as incredible as it is real. Well, at the risk of putting in a spoiler, it basically deals with a professor who claims to be a 140,000 year old caveman, a Cro-Magnon man to be precise. And the movie follows his trying to convince a group of his fellow colleagues at the University, men of Science, who find it hard to believe him, even though they cannot disregard the subject. The Biologist in the story admits it is theoritically possible, a glitch in the human immune system that makes it flawless, a perfect man. Now, what kind of possibilities that gives to the human race?

Well, I am not going to give away the entire plot, which by the way ends rather abruptly in my opinion. Nevertheless, it is ample food for thought, and a great cinema experience by all standards. Definitely not to be missed.
